Betty Vincenti
The Languis's and the Vincenti's go back to the 1920s. Her father, Reds, owned one of the neighborhood bars my father frequented, The Blue Room. Betty really loved my Dad, but she tells me he liked those slender American girls better. They were always good friends though. My sister JoAnn was especially fond of Betty. Maria and I went to school with Betty's son Patrick. He was sort of a loner back inour school days. He's now a successful decoy carver and just built an addition onto his house for his mother. So, Betty finally left Erie Street and moved in with Pat and his family in Churchville. She's trying to adjust. She stops in sometimes and when she does, we have a coffee with a splash of Frangelica ;-]
