A Golfer's Paradise!
 Martin
County is a golfer's paradise boasting more that 20
golf courses covering 556 square miles. The variety
presents a smorgasbord of championship caliber courses
for the scratch golfer or the weekender.
Martin
County has been referred to as Golf Mecca, pointing
to the numerous country club communities built around
courses designed by Palmer, Nicklaus, Palyer, Dye, Fazio
and Chuck Ankrom. Since 1992, U.S. Senior Open Champion,
Larry Laoretti, resides and belongs to Cobblestone Country
Club located in Palm City.
These
outstanding facilities attract many of our new residents.
The popularity of the sport keeps our courses busy year
round. Martin County offers four public golf courses.
The county is looking at additional sites to build more
public courses to meet the growing demands of the area.
